Stella McCartney- Beachwear
11.27.07 (8:23 pm)   [edit]
Though this isn't my own personal style, and though I would be terrified that the top would come untied, I have to respect the cool look this outfit has. The tied around the waist, halter neck top is really innovative. The pants, not so much, but they are a nice pairing.

Bling it On!
11.20.07 (3:14 pm)   [edit]
*This is a sponsored post. I found a site today that provides an easy way to add bling to your cellphones, laptops, etc. The problem with a lot of these kind of things is that they are loose stones and you have to glue it on yourself, either stone by stone, or as a bigger design. This is a mess, and not at all fun. But these come in one solid sheet with glue already attached on the back. That makes it easy for those who like the designs, but can't necessarily get them to look like they are supposed to. It also makes it really easy for kids to decorate their notebooks or laptops. I've mentioned before on different blogs of mine that I do egg art. This egg art involves a lot of rhinestones. I'm thinking about doing it professionally, and if I do so, the faster I'm able to attach rhinestones and bling, the better. The more customization I have to do, the longer it takes, and the more I have to charge. Besides, if I can do a heart with these, why bother attaching each and every rhinestone individually. That just makes it needlessly difficult. Also, every 100th order will receive a free Hannah Montana concert ticket. Tell me that wouldn't make an awesome present to some young girl!

John Galliano- Retro Swimsuit
11.20.07 (3:13 pm)   [edit]

This swimsuit would look awful on me. Truly, truly hideous. My hips just don't look right in that style. But I love it. The style is just so phenomenal. I'll never be able to wear it, but if I could, I'd buy a dozen of them. :D

John Galliano- Pink Roses
11.20.07 (3:11 pm)   [edit]

The roses and the details along the bodice are really amazing on this John Galliano lingerie. My favorite part are the little drapes where it transforms from the bodice to the skirt. This is one of my most favorite collections ever.

A reminder about Project Runway
11.14.07 (7:25 pm)   [edit]
Project Runway's new season starts tonight. Also, there's a new widget in my sidebar, related to the show. Sign up and guess who will win. You could win cool prizes for guessing correctly.

Sending Flowers
11.06.07 (11:28 am)   [edit]
*This is a sponsored post.

This is my friend. I'll call her A. A. has been a friend of mine for several years now. We met over the internet, and she became my teacher for a while. Oh, who am I kidding? She still teaches me lots! This year, A. moved from Canada to Australia to be with the love of her life. While I'm happy for her, I've got to admit that I miss having her on the same continent. Even though she lived in Canada, I've met her in person, and it was comforting to know that I had the possibility of getting in my car and driving up to see her. But now, my car isn't amphibious, and she's a little too far to just hop on a plane and meet her for an afternoon. lol

I've been thinking about her a lot recently, and I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a gift to send her over Christmas. The distance makes it quite a hassle because I remember her telling me how expensive it was to send dryer sheets there (don't ask). I think it's almost going to have to be flowers. They will be pretty, and she's one of my girliest friends, so I know she'll love getting some flowers.

Flora2000 has an easy online ordering system, and shipping to 150 countries. That's good since I can't exactly walk in and place the order in person. :D There's one bouquet in particular that I like. It's a native hand-tied bouquet, and has some really unusual blue flowers that I've never seen or even heard of! It's just different enough to be cool.

Oscar de la Renta- Great Purse
11.06.07 (11:13 am)   [edit]

This purse is so unusual that I have to give them credit. I'm sick to death of those ginormous bags that all look the same. Straight up, if you expect me to pay over a thousand dollars for a purse, please don't insult me by making it look like every other bloody purse on the market. Is this one perfect?? No. But it takes a risk and runs with it. That's what I like about it.

Oscar de la Renta- Criss-Crossed Dress
11.06.07 (11:10 am)   [edit]

On one hand, this is pretty cool. They criss-crossed the straps and made it much more interesting. On the other hand, the orangey-red lines make it look like a garmet that is used in fashion design school to illustrate the different parts of a garment. Like it's a dummy garment that's meant to illustrate concepts, but never be shown.

By the way, could there be a more perfect pairing of shoes?!

Oscar de la Renta- Cool Sleeves
11.06.07 (11:06 am)   [edit]

First, a warning. I had to visit the ophthalmologist today, and naturally, he dilated my pupils. I'll do my best to spell correctly and also to see the little details, but I'm warning you that it is a bit of a struggle. lol

I love the sleeves on this. In fact, I love everything about it. The sleeves are unique and feel really unusual, but not "weird". Also, I'm really fond of this color, and the pants are just perfect. I want this outfit in my closet. :)
