Toast the Trends!

Now, nobody can compare with Christian Dior when it comes to folded gowns. The man made a gorgeous origami wedding gown, for cryin' out loud! But that isn't to say that this is an ugly gown. Remember a long time ago when I said that fashion trickles down from the haute couture to the ready-to-wear lines, to the knock-off versions?? This is the ready-to-wear step.

I think this is a beautiful dress, and I love the way they played with the fabric. It reveals so much more when you do things like this, as opposed to just sewing a dress. Should it be done on every dress? Of course not. But it's perfectly beautiful for this one.
