Balenciaga- Different Duster

This is going to be a very short post, because I've already discussed my hatred for most of these items when they were used in other Balenciaga garments in this collection.
I like the duster much better this time. It blends much better, and losing the sleeves really helps. Having pockets in a sheer garment is a little bizarre though (you can see her hand peeking through on the right). EVERYTHING else about it is worthless from the shirt to the shoes. And one cute duster is not enough to save this monstrosity.

Are those shoes made of wicker? And, since you are much more hep about fashion than myself, please give me an understanding about the warpaint across the eyebrows. Is this something I have to look forward to- is it coming my way soon, via LA and NY?

No, I suspect they are like moccasin leather.
I suspect the "warpaint" is because they are going for a Pocahontas look. You just gave me the inspiration for my next blog entry. But rest assured, this is NOT going to become a trend. If you see anyone wearing this, feel free to give them a funny look. :D

I'm glad my absolute ignorance about fashion can be a source of inspiration. Now I'll go put on my bellbottom pants and flowery shirt, and platform shoes- there's a disco I've a yen to frequent.
